Our sons really enjoy the malevolent, yet ridiculously idiotic, dumb and dumber pair of rat creatures from the Bone series. The rats often miss opportunities to eat the books' main characters because they are too busy arguing about whether their victims should be consumed raw or baked in a nice quiche.

The boys have been very interested in The Simpsons lately, on the lookout for age-inappropriate jokes and references.

Not that they have lost interest in "Dragons: Defenders of Berk." Not at all...One is just much less likely to hear the word "penis" used on the dragons show.

Ansel and Archer have recently started to appreciate "The Simpsons"... mostly because they think the show is full of inappropriate jokes.

Who is the rudest animated character?  Based on recent exposure to old episodes of the Simpson's "Treehouse of Horror" my sons agreed that Bart might outdo Mordecai and Rigby.  They still prefer the Regular Show guys nonetheless.
