Robin from The Batman for Ansel

Robin from the TV show.  Ansel was very displeased with the split in the cape.  I can only offer in my own defense that the bifurcation of the cape does appear in the source material...but I should have known better.

Characters from No Zombies Allowed for Archer

Archer found that he could bond with another kid at camp yesterday by discussing their mutual interest in playing No Zombies Allowed.  It seems impossible to have too many games involving green zombies with bad teeth.

Batman and Robin from Dress Up Batman for Ansel

My 5 year old art director specified the silver Bat costume from the online game Batman Dress Up, but paired with Robin from the television show "The Batman" and a slightly different version of Mr. Freeze's hideout.  I had aspirations to improve on the somewhat awkward drawing of Batman in the game, but ending up not even doing that well.

Archer shifted from Brothers in Arms to another Gameloft game with fancy graphics yesterday:  N.O.V.A. 2 (Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance for those who want all the details).  I switched from strawberries to broccoli.

Brothers in Arms for Archer

Archer has been playing another age-inappropriate game, "Brothers in Arms: Global Front"
that required the fruit pacification treatment to be included in his Quaker summer camp lunch.  Now it looks like the oversized fruit is causing the soldiers' distress.

Archer was suddenly overwhelmed with a need for LEGO Captain America yesterday.  I was originally directed to depict the human Captain dismembering the LEGO version, but decided late last night that maybe a threatening posture was better than actual violence.  Or perhaps it was just easier to draw...

Child Batman from Justice League Unlimited for Ansel

Ansel requested Batman turned into a child from the episode "Kid's Stuff" from the television series from 2007.  He did not see the napkin this morning, so I am looking forward to the complaints about the magenta background this afternoon.

Captain America and Hydra Soldier for Archer

We watched "Captain America: The First Avenger" yesterday, leading to hours of mayhem involving flying shields in the living room.  Archer asked for Cap knocking a Hydra soldier out with his shield.  Looking at the napkin this morning he asked me where is the shield?  I told him it had already bounced off the Hydra guy and was out of the picture.  Suggested violence is always better actual.

Kid Nightwing and Captain America for Ansel

Once again, I disappointed Ansel.  Why did you leave his helmet off? he wanted to know this morning.    He did not ask why I had made Cap's legs too short, as these sorts of bad draftsmanship issues do not, thankfully, occur to him yet.

Vlad From Infect Them All for Archer

Both kids are still at hard at work on Infect Them All: Vampires.  Luckily, unlike many other video games, it does not seem to inspire them to emulate the action in the real world and gnaw on each other.

Ansel has jumped onto the "Infect Them All: Vampires" bandwagon because the game includes dog characters.  He just has to be careful not to upgrade past them. 

Tiny Troopers for Archer

I caved in yesterday and allowed Archer to blow his allowance on Tiny Troopers, a 12 + app.   As it turns out, it is less violent than some of the 9+ games, and no one is biting anyone else on the head.
